Green Industry Training is a series of entry-level classes, offered yearly in early spring, on topics important to the plant industry. Session topics vary each year and include classes on practical botany, soil and fertilizer management, lawns, irrigation management, weed law, weed identification, woody landscape plants, container plant management, plant insects, plant diseases and landscape design. Course participants can select individual classes that meet their needs or enroll in the entire course.
Classes are taught by University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Horticulture faculty, staff and local industry professionals, and are held at the Cooperative Extension office in Reno, 4955 Energy Way, just off Rock Blvd.
