You’re invited to this exclusive opportunity to chat with some of our UCCE strawberry experts about growing strawberries and the California strawberry industry.

Join our live Facebook group chat with Steve Koike and Mark Bolda, two of the technical editors and contributing authors of the brand new Organic Strawberry Production Manual.

Steve Koike, UC Cooperative Extension advisor in Monterey and Santa Cruz counties, studies vegetable, fruit, and ornamental crop diseases, particularly strawberry diseases. Koike earned his M.S. in plant protection and pest management from UC Davis in 1980. In 2011, he received the Distinguished Service Award for outstanding research conducted by a UC Cooperative Extension academic.

Mark Bolda, UC Cooperative Extension advisor in Monterey and San Benito counties for strawberries and caneberries, has been a farm advisor since 2002. Bolda received his M.S. in plant protection and pest management from UC Davis in 1996, after serving in the U.S. Peace Corps in Paraguay as an agricultural extensionist.

Whether you’re a commercial grower, home-gardener, pest control advisor, or simply interested in strawberries, you’re invited to join us for this exclusive event.
