Green Industry Continuing Education Series (GICES) is a new offering of University of Nevada Cooperative Extension. Its goal is to provide current, accurate and useful information to Nevada’s green industry in a way that respects green industry members’ fast‐paced schedules.

Informational sessions are one‐hour, provide valuable information, and Continuing Education Units and are offered on topics relevant to YOU.

This lecture will review the most current BMP (ANSI standards) and ISA Certified Tree Risk Assessment (TRACE) rating system to evaluate tree risks due to design, construction or neglect. This industry standard previously termed “Hazardous Tree Evaluation” gives a defined quantitative risk “Standard of Care” by a certified assessor and “Duty of Care” or liability to whom is responsible for reducing the risk.
