The need for emergency food services in our region has never been higher. Record unemployment has taken its toll in our communities. With the “Plant a Row for the Hungry” program, the Food Bank of Northern Nevada hopes to get more fresh produce to the families who need it.
Gardeners who “Plant a Row” for the Food Bank during this growing season, or gardeners who simply have extra produce, are asked to donate it to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada’s partner agencies to be used to feed the hungry in our communitites. Below is a list of the partner agencies who would love to receive fresh, home-grown food. Please note each agency has its own donation drop-off schedule.
Please call the Food bank of Northern Nevada at 775-331-3663 if you have any questions about the program. An updated lists of participating agencies will be available at http://www.fbnn.org; the program flyer is available electronically. The Food Bank of Northern Nevada thanks you for growing a row for the hungry!
